Oh, interesting.

Apparently you can partially type the flag as long as it doesn't conflict with another one.
It seems we can go as short as --det.

My terminal auto-complete always propose the full version, so I didn't notice that.

Then using --detach-sig is not really a mistake, but it might be better to use the full flag, your call.

Personally I'd probably prefer for the patch to be smaller, so you can just leave it as --detach-sig, since it isn't really a typo, and the patch will have two less lines in it.
