About yourself
Hello my name is Jacobo, I am from Medellín, Colombia. I am interested in participating in open source projects. My experience has been mainly in Python, doing both webdev and desktop software. Currently I am diving into Go and Rust.
Running away from GitLab and GitHub. Brought with me on a project that I am currently working on, which is a distributed file system written in Go. I have been helping a friend with his server business for small companies here, and the desire to create yet another tool for file storage was born.
As motivation, Is easy to sit on the side lines and just critique everything, but as the people of FFmpeg say, "talk is cheap, send patches", and I am here to send them patches. You guys have the principles that I value, so I'm here to learn a lot and help in everything I can.
Interests
Quick checks
Hi, thanks for reaching out. Is there anything in particular that's bothering you? If you don't know where to go to "send patches", maybe I can try pointing you in the right direction? :D

Whatever you need me to do. I tried looking at the issue tracker, but I am new and a bit slow, so didn’t know what to pick. And by send patches, I mean contribute.
@jacobitosuperstar Hi, I am also not sure how to help with picking something for you - that is a process that someone can help guide you with, but I can't completely take over for you. I only know that Forgejo is built using Go and that it has a bunch of issues labelled as
good first issues that might be worth taking a look at.@n0toose wrote in #139 (comment):
Yeah, thanks I will start with Forgejo and if I cannot find anything suited will ping you later. Thanks for the help. I will be useful in the community.
Best of luck! Just don't feel obliged to be useful - pressure helps no one :)
