Just so that somebody has said it: I could totally live with the flag being displayed below the <footer> all the time, not just on specific pages. It's the part of the page where Codeberg provides information about itself and its rules and values; I think it's a perfect fit.

I think that I personally preferred the version that was at the very bottom of the page without surrounding border, but I also like this one. Feel free to merge before the next deployment.

Is it possible to have a setting to not display this?
Thanks in advance.

No, we only show it on pages by Codeberg (Codeberg related organisations). This is a symbol of tolerance from Codeberg.

Mhm.
Could someone explain what this is supposed to be tolerating, by possibly linking to somewhere, thanks.

@cxvqo I think https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow_flag_(LGBTQ) should contain all the information you need.

Mhm just sending a wikipedia link. Based on my knowledge on recent events, is it the 4th paragraph in the "Backlash" section?
(If it is, then maybe this pr, and the pr before it should've included more information for people that aren't looking at news or looking at some mastodon feed constantly)

@cxvqo You were explicitly asking for a link. At least that's how I understood you.

Look, I'm not sure what you're talking about or trying to imply. I'd appreciate if you could clearly explain what it is you're asking.

This PR has added a variation of the Progress Pride Flag to the footer of some Codeberg pages, because it's a symbol of tolerance and solidarity with marginalized groups. These are values that align with the values of the people in charge of Codeberg, as well as probably the large majority of its user base.

If that's something you'd like to challenge, feel free to create a new issue about this. Please make sure to include an explanation of how your suggestion is in alignment with our Terms of Use, especially the section about discrimination.

Then don't scroll down to the bottom of Codeberg-related pages the whole time. Or use a blocker or a command line browser 😛.

Seriously, thank you @Codeberg for your stability! These reactions show that it is needed still.

For the record, this statement is untrue, as explicitly stated in the PR description:

Always show it for guests,

For viewers not logged in, this content is shown next to all user content on the site. (Sorry for the double-comment, I was confused by this statement at first and didn't notice the PR description contradicting it.)
